Summary

In recent years, global auto sales have declined a lot because of the epidemic. Under this circumstance, the global new energy vehicle industry has grown against the trend, with sales exceeding 4.2 million, a year-on-year growth reaches 66%. China has the world’s leading new energy vehicle development speed and market size. The continuous increase in sales of new energy vehicles has driven the growth in demand for lithium batteries.

The broad application market has accelerated the pace of expansion of lithium battery industry, and the warehousing and logistics have profoundly affected the production efficiency and product quality. The battery storage process not only has strict standards for equipment stability, ambient temperature and humidity, and cleanliness, but also has high requirements for the overall system integration capability. The intelligent warehousing solution can help enterprises solve the problems of scattered layout, circulation, and storage procedures, reducing manual participation and greatly improving the product consistency.

Enotek Group (formerly known as Eoslift) provides customers with high-level system integration solutions from customized solutions to equipment selection, from system integration to project delivery and excellent service assurance.

INDUSTRY PAIN POINTS

In warehousing and logistics, new energy lithium battery enterprises face the following challenges.

1.     Complex Storage Area

The storage area is scattered and complex, production process and logistics links are also complicated, which can easily affect product consistency;

2.     Environment Requirements

The production and storage environment has strict requirements on cleanliness, explosion-proof, temperature, and humidity, etc.

3.     Safety Requirements

Have high Requirements on Safety and Fire Safety.

CASE STUDY

Project Background

A leading power battery enterprise in East China uses automated systems to complete transportation, sorting, packaging, and warehousing in its charge and discharge testing and process circulation. In this project, we provide it with a full-link intelligent logistics solution including technologies and services ranging from single equipment to warehousing and logistics management systems.

Location: Nantong

Time: 2020

User Type: A well-known domestic large-scale new energy lithium battery provider in China.

PROJECT DIFFICULTIES

1.     The high temperature warehouse is up to 50 ° ± 5℃; formation/grading warehouse temperature is 45 °± 3 ℃.

2.     The storage of lithium batteries requires temperature (24+- 3 ℃), relative humidity (dew point temperature of positive and negative workshops ≤ - 40 ℃) and cleanliness (positive and negative workshops ≤ 100,000).

3.     Lithium batteries have high requirements for handling, load, stacking and direction.

SYSTEM EQUIPMENT

5.The lithium batteries are stored by three rotating stackers in the finished product warehouse, with a total of 31,296 pallet spaces.

PROJECT ACHIEVEMENTS

1. The lithium battery can be storage in the high temperature warehouse of 50 degrees Celsius with the stacker which can resist high temperature.

2. Polyurethane coated rubber wheel and H-section steel/aluminum alloy stacker track meet the environmental cleanliness requirements of lithium battery production, such as dust and burr free.

3. Stacker equipped with fire extinguisher and armor device to meet the requirements of fire and explosion.

4. The WMS/WCS system can achieve the whole process automatically and unmanned, and record product information throughout the process to realize the information can be traced at any time, helping to improve the consistency of battery products.
